i'm looking at spending this next year getting a photography business started and would LOVE any advise you guys may have. since my husband is military and we only have 9 more months at this base, i'm not planning on investing a WHOLE LOT into this area (as far as marketing is concerned), but i'd love to atleast build a nice portfolio while we're here.

i was thinking of putting out a flyer amongst friends on base, advertisting 5 free photo shoots and then a small fee for anything else booked beyond the initial five. good idea?



i'd love tips or ideas from you guys ... maybe stories on how you got started?
