For those of you PC users, what laptop do you use for your wedding digital images?
I currently have both an office PC and a toshiba lap top. All my wedding images are on the lap top and when I need space I move it over to the hard drive on the PC.... I want to get a lap top that has a load of space as well as a great monitor that I can make sure its color calibrated.
I should also ad that I have a hard drive that is cordless, not in the computer that everything is back up on too....
Thanks!

Hey there, Leanne . . .
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop. I was in the market for a "desktop replacement" at the time that I bought it, but now I'm looking at a smaller/lighter Dell for my next laptop.
I have a new Dell desktop now as well, with 5 external hard drives for storing my images. I would strongly suggest *NOT* storing all of your images on the internal hard drives of your computers. Think to the future when you will have 10 TeraBytes of image files and you need to access them from multiple computers.
Also, make sure you have copies of everything, including "off-site" copies, in case your house burns down. Not that it is likely, but bad things do happen. When the hurricanes were ripping people's houses apart here last summer, I knew that copies of my images were safe inside the vault in my bank.
All the best!

First, I have to agree with Brian and Photomom about storing your images. You never know what could happen so it's always better to be safe than sorry. I keep CD/DVD copies at my in-laws' house, plus I have external hard drives.
As for my laptop, I have the Sony Vaio with the xbrite screen. The images look razor sharp, the screen is like having HDTV, and it works very well for my purposes. I think it (and Toshiba) has the best screen. The darks are jet black and matches my prints from WHCC and the colors look fabulous..
