I have a contract in Microsoft Word format and want to make it a PDF to e-mail to a client for signature. Anybody know how? I'm searching the Word help section, but not scoring...yet.

If you are using a Mac, just go to File -> Print and click the "Save as PDF button" on the bottom left corner of the Print screen.

If you are using a PC, you'll need to purchase software to do this for you. If you PM me, I'll be more than happy to make this a PDF for you.

Scott,

for future conversions try Primo PDF it's free!!

Chris Uglanica posted the link here ages ago, so I'm guessing it was lost in the great crash.

I have a PC & I can make PDF's from Word. Not sure if it's cos my friend installed Adobe Professional or not though... Doubt it. Think I could even before that.

I have Word 2003. On the menu bar next to 'Help' I have 'Adobe PDF' and 'Acrobat Comments'.

When you install Acrobat Professional, it installs the plug-ins to output PDF's from Word. Be very careful as these can be quite tempermental. Your best bet is to always go to File > Print and the save as a PDF.

Cheers!

Trevor, I can't see any option for saving as PDF apart from the 'Corvert to PDF'.

Actually you have to print and then pick acrobat distiller as your printer. It will open and save as a PDF then smile.gif

In my print dialog through word (and I have Acrobat Pro installed as well), at the top where you select your printer, I have an option for "Adobe PDF 7.0." I select that as my printer and then hit print and it brings up the dialog to save a PDF file. Further to that, in the bottom left corner of my print dialog, there is a drop down menu for "PDF" which allows me to do the same thing with a couple more options.

I hope this helps...
