hey hey,

well i personally have DJs stuff and am fiddling away with it, havent yet put the things online but yeah you need domain space. anywhere will do, try signing up for a free tripod account and hosting your stuff their and directing links, but you will most likely get ads. so just use your own stuff. using xanga, myspace blogster whatever you choose requires that you have a link and a code to embed it into their system, i knwo that DJs showit web allows you to get this code once you have uploaded your video folder onto your webspace! then take the link and get the code. i am more than sure it works like this but with garys!

so 1. get a website, free or bought. i use globat for my own site which is pretty cheap or try media temple.
2. then load it up using a free ftp client, i use mac so first ones off my head are cyberduck, and one button ftp(preferred), but for windows i have ws_ftp and it costs 40$, but im sure there are lots of freebies around, or use dreamweaver to do it, through managing your sites!

hope it helps and send me a link when youve got your things online smile.gif

Ross:

Did yo uget the message I sent through Xanga? You defintinely can use Album Showcase on Xanga - it loads on just like a ShowIt Web show, but you need to have it hosted in your server first.

Like Ross said, there are a lot of free FTP programs out there. I use WinSCP3 - not free, but it works for what I need and use it all the time.

I think CuteFTP has a free version.

Once you get it uploaded to your server, PM me if you still need the Xanga code.

thanks mark, i actully have blogger, but im in moldova, and will only be getting broadband in a week, so i cant upload anything of mine at the moment. i cant say that i did get any message from you from xanga, i guess i should have? where did you send it to?

yeah cuteFTP does have a free one. i bought fetch for mac, and ws_frp 2006 home edition for windows but use a free one on mac because tbh i think its better.

i put this link up a while ago and everyone loved it so heres your link to everything on the GOOD freeware side for mac.

I must be confused - your title says it's about Xanga, but you are running on blogger?

I did see the message to me on Xanga, and I sent you an email at the address you listed. Did it make it to you?

Hey Mark,

I got your email, I guess you didn't get mine after that. I am using xanga for my blog. I haven't gotten to it yet. I guess I have to get another website, because I can't find anywhere to ftp to xanga, unless I am completly clueless. I might be calling you soon, if i can't get this thing up. thanks again for all your help.
Ross
yeah i got your message thanks, and sent you a reply email! thanks mark
