For the longest time now, I've pretty much "shunned" SIE and didn't think I needed it... and based on your input, I still may, or may not need it.
Can someone explain what exactly it does, if anything, BESIDES just those 6 or so action effects? I know you are able to do the reception slideshows with it because of it's quickness in editing some images... but am I wrong to think it's also the software that enhances showit web (the image-change-acclimated to the music with the "flashes"?? If I'm able to do that in SIW, I'm going to feel like an idiot, so meanwhile, explain the features of SIE to me plz.
Greatly appreciated!

SIE has nothing to do with SIW.
SIE is for doing quick edits to your photos, and saving those edit for pushing out to the raw photos later on, if need be.
You can import alot more than just those 10 or so SIE effects now, and can import your own actions right into it now as well.
It's totally worth it imho.

i dont own it (yet), but i just so happened to be talking to a guy on the chat last night about it, and he thinks its awesome!
with the new version, you can load your own. he said one thing he did (and i have no idea how) was to get low res versions of all his files, apply the settings he wanted, and then re-play all those settings on high-res to save time!

You can actually import a whole slew of actions now and it'll save'em in there for you.
Checkout the this video that shows a few of the new features.

Yeah! The new feature makes SIE The Action Command Center!!!
David, I have to questions:
For those who have the previous version, how do we get the upgrade?
Can a hotkey be asigned so when we press it SIE launches instead of going to File/etc, etc.? That would be sweet!

That's funny! So true!
Great questions - Yea...if you login to the store and you had the beta version of 2.0 then it should offer you the 100% discount to version 2.0 and if you had version 1.x then it should offer you an upgrade option for $50
...and yea you can set a shortcut key...great idea! I'll put up a video on how to do that.
Rock on!
