I spent a few hours this week looking through thousands and thousands of old family photos from when my brother, sister and I were growing up and I defintely have a new appreciation for these pictures

.
I really like number three, it is my favorite, after the second couch photo. I think her expression and her reaching out to her father's heart is a great little detail and I like the contrast between her soft skin and his hairy face

I think her expression is sweet and I love the pp. It's natural! They were not modeling.

I really like what you did with this session.

Did I mention that I love number 6? Her expression is beautiful.

I like 3 and the idea of the couch to show her growth progressively. 4 is my favorite and I wonder what it would look like in color. Might depend on the color of the carpet.
Lovely series!

I love the couch pictures and number six.
Great job overall.
Were you using just natural light for all of these shots?

Hi Amber, the couch series is going to rock! Your third image is a spectacular "Dad" image! You changed your B+W processing on that one, and I like the warmish feel to the toning, a little different than your signature toning!

Amber, I think the 3rd picture is really touching. I like the warmer feel to it since it is such a tender moment for the Daddy. I think it is classic the way he is looking down at her as if she is the center of his world and she is pushing off from him like... "here I come world!" Probably something he should get used to.

3, 4 and 6 are my favorites! I also love the ones on your blog where she is reaching out to touch the camera and the one with the dad covering her eyes while he and mom smooch!
Beautiful!

Hey guys!
Thanks so much for the feedback! It is really exciting to see that #4 is such a fav in people's eyes... I am crazy about that image, but wondered if it was just me!
Everything was shot with the D200 and the 17-55 2.8. Between ISO 400-1600.

my favorite is #7. The framing, color, and her expression all make it a wonderful image.
Regarding #3, it's a nice moment, but I feel like it needs others to go with it-- whereas the other images work on their own.
Great work!
