Well, I'm back everyone! I had a wonderful wedding and am excited to show you the results! I want to thank everyone for posting your tips on my last post leading up to this wedding. I have to say that everything you warned me about pretty much came to life during this session. I didn't have much time to go through these, but I was able to pick out a few of my favorites. I would also like to thank the wonderful Tim Co. for being the best assistant ever! Couldn't have done it without him! I'm sure he will have some wonderful stuff to post here soon!

And for the photographs:

Some reception details...

Dom Perignon anyone??

Hope you enjoyed!

Do you mean in PP or just the shot itself?

Thanks for the comments! I was trying to go with an old photo look. Does anyone think that the black border takes away from my effort on the sloppys? As you see on #7 I left it without one. What do you think?

you know what, now that I look closer, I think I like 7 better wink.gif and I think it's what you said, it's the old photo look, and i think I like it without the black boarder. Plus, I LOVE the composition of number 7. The WHOLE feel of the photo (the moment it seemed to capture, the comp, the PP) all work together to give it that old photo feel.

It ranged anywhere from 8-40 degrees! This wedding is proof that one adrenaline kicks in, you can pretty much do anything. I wore a button shirt with a scarf the entire time, and I can't even rememeber being cold. How odd is that?! Thanks!

Great work, JK. I love the back light on the third one.. I've always been a fan of that glowing halo look in outdoor shots.

It looks like a sloppy knockout from Parker J. Basically, the action puts a sloppy border over the image that covers the entire image then inverts the black border to be white. On the inside of the border it lowers the opacity so it doesn't take out all the detail, just some.

Nice work on these Josiah, I like #4, the bride looks like she is having a really good time. Who let Timco in?

That's just what I did. I don't know which border it is, but they are all fun to work with.

Tim Co. pretty much invited himself...lol! Nooo. He was greatly needed that day! Thanks for your comments everyone!

That's the feel I was going for. I felt like the borders and colors worked together to get that look, you know?? How can I mess that up with such great subjects and a wonderful location!

Thanks for your comments!

Very very nice!

There is nothing wrong with good ol' snow for wedding pictures... well as long as it's snowy and not very cold!

Thanks so much! It was a wonderful wedding. The snow in Colorado is wonderful. Somedays, you can get away with wearing short sleeves!

That border is actually my border. The cool thing about parker j's actions is that you can insert your own textures and borders into the actions and custom them to yourself.

As far as purchasing them, that's another thing. I will presonal message you about it.

#7 & #11 (Dom Perignon) caught my eye. I think the first few images are too tilted though to be honest. I am not fan of the tilted camera though..so grain of salt, please. What is the back story on this wedding? It seems that everyone knows, but me! I was in Fort Collins Colorado for the holidays--just in time for both snow storms. The state just basically shut down--crazy! Wish I had been up in ski country instead of the Front Range--although sadly, the mountains didn't get the snow as much.

Anyway--#7 is quite amazing (even with the tilt, although I have to say it would have been just as amazing without the tilt--JUST SAY NO TO TILTS!!! IT WILL ULTIMATELY DATE YOUR WORK!!).

Hey Geneve!!

I personally love to tilt my camera. I don't let it consume my work, but I just like it. I'm sure, though; I will have something else that comes along that I do a lot. Sadly, we fall into habits. Thankfully, I like this habit!! Thanks for the pointer!

I posted a while back in preparation of this wedding for some pointers for shooting in the snow. I had never done it, and wanted to be prepared! That's the back story.
