OMG, I order a 13-inch white Macbook as a Christmas present and it's going to be here on Monday and I am soooo excited!!!! She's going to love it.

I also got 2 - 23" displays.

I am ordering more RAM (8GB) and Hard drives (3 - 1TB) for my other bays from somewhere else.
Now, NO ONE tell me I should have ordered something else... what I don't know won't hurt me, right?

You will LOVE it. I love mine that i bought over the summer that is about the same spec as yours (or as yours will be).

You did get apple care right? That's the only thing i don't see listed that i would recommend.

Awesome Kari!! You must be stoked. I want one to. I just sold one of my imacs yesterday and I'm gonna sell the other one in January to get a Mac Pro. I wanna wait and see what they come out with in January.

You're all powered up now! That's great. I'm probably going to have to take Shawn's approach and sell my iMac and a few other things to pony up in Q1.

The dual monitor setup is going to be sa-weet!

Uh, I'm not sure why you're saying this... it's a mac pro... got a problem with the mac pro? I sure don't. I've had mine for almost a year and I've never had one issue with it, never had one second that it was slower than I needed it to be.

I thought you were talking specifically about the mac pro. Yep, everyone will at some point experience the beach ball. I see it quite frequently on my G5, that thing is a hog compared to my mac pro! BUT, you'll see that beach ball a hell of a lot less than you'll see that annoying hour glass or error messages on a win-blows machine!



Oh, and I'm with you on the macs... I've got a mac for every 100 square feet in my apartment
