we wouldn't be doing it if we didn't love it, right? at least I hope not

so.... what do YOU love about shooting weddings?

I love coming home with awesome images that couldn't possibly have been planned

I love the feeling you get when you get a phone call or email from raving bride (a happily raving bride )

I love knowing that my work makes people happy

I love making my own hours!

The food. Great food, and lots of it, and you never know what you're gonna get for a given day. It's awesome. I love food....

Oh yeah, I love taking pictures too...

I love the creative freedom I have shooting weddings, something I didn't often have as a commercial photographer. Weddings are a delightful event to be at while "working", and the freedom to create images that are artistic, spontaneous, beautiful, and cherished by both myself and the client is so refreshing and rewarding.

We (TriCoast) are Wedding Crashers but I get paid VERY well to be there in the process

Traveling around the world to places I would never have seen, and meeting and experiencing new and amazing cultures in the process.


Whats NOT like to love about a wedding day!!

Ugh... well... I suppose I can tell people now... I actually had a mult-million dollar grant from the US Goverment to taste test as many wedding cakes as I could over the last 3 years... But, I pretened to be a photographer to get access to the cake...

But it is not the cake I love.... I hate cake now... I have learned to love the photography... I think I may become a pro....



What I love is the people... And not having to shave everyday...

The people, and knowing that the photos I take are going to be what the couple, and all future generations are going to cherish, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.... and well the food, nothing better then the food at weddings

I love everything about it, but I especially dig getting to meet so many different people. USUALLY, it's under extremely happy conditions. Sometime not. What we do is very important in peoples lives.

I recently provided a family of a little girl the only professional pictures they had ever had taken (at a wedding). The child was a drowning victim. I have a soft spot for kids and fortunately had many beautiful images of her during the day.

mmm yes cake, how could I forget that. I LOVE cake

I love the families. I like when they hug me goodbye - makes me feel special, like I'm part of the family.

And I love the father-daughter dance. Since my dad passed away, I didn't have this opportunity at my wedding and I cry at every single one of them!

I love making a bride cry after her wedding day.


(good tears of course). I don't know what it is lately about me wanting to make people cry!! Brides, family, lol

And I love that I can be completely creative with MY style and not told how to shoot. Rather capture what I see and make.

And if the groom cries with the bride, that's just an added bonus.

I love it all, but I especially love shooting the DETAILS!!

I like shooting a wedding on a Saturday and getting an e-mail like this 4 days later from the bride while she's on her honeymoon...

"You guys did an excellent job Saturday. I can't tell you how many compliments I've received based only on the slideshow and wedding party input. Very nice work. THANK YOU!!!"

Can you imagine...taking time out from the honeymoon to thank your photographer? What other vendor can boast of such an honor???

OFF TOPIC -- Jacob -- I'm fine with Canada eliminating the U.S. in the world jrs. yesterday (BTW...congrats), but I'm deeply troubled that Jonathan Toews is property of the Chicago Blackhawks!!!
