I have gone through all of my processing and when I put my pics up on my website for clients to review, they look horrendous....washed out and muddy. Skin tones make clients look sick, and I don't feel confident showing this to them!!

Does anyone have ideas about how to fix this wierdness? Is it on my end in the color settings w/ Photoshop? I have everything I can think of set to sRGB from my camera to RAW to CS4, but am I missing something?

Or could it be my web template? I am going NUTS over here...any help VERY MUCH appreciated!!

maybe post a link? That would be helpful.

I assume you're using "save for web"? If so, that's your problem.

No, I am just resizing (using the 450 pixel height recommended by my web hosts) and even leaving the resolution the same. Here is a screen shot looking at what I see in PS and then behind it is what comes up on my website.

It is super odd since the exact same photo can look 100% fine on my blog...it just seems like something is off when I move it into my website admin area.

Have a watch of my latest podcast offering here:

That should help you out a touch smile.gif

Bear in mind, the steps I use can be made into an action biggrin.gif

I assume that you have a flash based website? If so then I'm 99.9% positive that's your problem. I've posted about this same problem a few times now but it's basically because flash doesn't recognize color profiles at all, even if you are using a color managed browser.
As a result your image will never display in the same way as it will on your blog, an HTML based site.

No real way around this to honest apart from maybe compensating for the slight change before posting on your website.

Good flash comment, that could definitely be the problem. Also, what browser do you use?? I found the Firefox leaves you with washed out colors..

Hi Jon

If you haven't already you might want to turn on the color management in Firefox 3 as its not enabled by default for some reason.

You enable it by typing "about:config" in the address bar (without quotes) and hit return. In the Filter box, type "management" and the two options will appear. Make sure that display_profile is set to the 'default' status, and double click on the 'enabled' property to change its value into 'true'.

Firefox will now display images correctly according to the embedded profile.
