I once read that in a book, and then was inspired to hold to that by DJ's "Morning Chat #1" in regards to a video of Cheryl and I for our website.

I had my good buddy and SICK cinematographer Russell Fowler cruise out to a wedding early this year with us in San Diego at the Hotel Del Coronado. He shot a bunch of rolls of super 8mm for us as he did at our wedding, but this time documenting us in action. (you can see the footage of our wedding on our website in the about section, pretty sweet stuff!! and all from ONE reel... yeah, CRAZY)

Anyway, I've been sitting on the footage for sometime now waiting til I can afford to pay a really good editor to have at the footage and make something sick happen for me (I've NEVER edited video before and didn't want to start now...) So, that meant that for nearly 6 months now I've had NOTHING of a video. Well, DJ's video inspired me to eat my own words and get off my butt and try and toss something online.

After 2 hours in iMovie on my mac here's what I was able to toss together real quick, not, it's not perfect but wow... WAY better than what I'd expected, and now I have a video of Cheryl and I shooting.

DJ, you rock my world, thanks for inspiring!!!! (can't believe it took til today for that one to sink into my thick skull...)

i love you guys, its a great video and if you hadnt told me you had never edited before, i wouldnt know any different.

For me, what really made that movie was the shots of Tim interacting with the people and smiling and laughing. It really let me connect with him.

yeah... the stills don't quit fit the storyline perfect... I guess I could just use less pics? hmm... that might be an interesting option... and then trim the music (gotta try and figure that one out)
