Scott, overall I like 'em.
#1 - Beautiful sky, but the flare doesn't look real. Them's some big boards.

#2 - Yeah, I see naked surfers....
#3 - He looks a little mad, but I guess it works since they are surfers.
#4 - This is a great shot.

Thanks for your comments everybody. The intent on #2 was for them to look naked per their request. Thought it was kinda cool myself.... There was some flare in #1 already but I added a bit - can't get much by your keen eyes! Sorry there were no waves that day so no REAL surfing. Just a few shots of them on their boards in the water - they liked 'em!
Cheers!

really like the images a lot, but I'd say the photoshop work on the images could probably be stepped back a bit.
that's awesome they were down to go out and freeze for you, sounds like they'll be a fun couple to work with!

Not a much PS in these really. Just the flare in #1 and texture in #2 with a few curves adjustments. My images are saturated a bit OOC already. I find my clients are drawn to me because my images are given the once or twice over in PS. I think they would be disappointed if I presented them with straight up pics. It's all a part of the creative pie to me...

Fair enough, that's totally awesome if that's the look you usually do.
My comment may have been a bit unjustified, I always have the Photoshop alarm go off when I see photoshop flare in a picture, I felt like I was seeing skin softening on the guy in shot three and blurring of the background in the last shot of them in front of the ship, but I could just be overthinking it because of the flare...
Great images though and I'm sure they'll be amped on them.
I'm a total fan of photoshop and making images look their very best, but at the same time working to try and make it look like they never saw photoshop.

Shoot...I knew I should've kept my mouth shut about the flare! No blurring or skin smoothing going on though. I think people understand and are totally cool with it when something has been obviously been manipulated (Texture in #3) and you are not trying to "trick" them. It's when you ARE trying to trick them and you don't pull it off (Flare in #1) that's not so cool. Still working on it!
