I'm dying here in emails. I am over my head and need a better system for inquiries, replies, and bookings. After Heather showed me her ShootQ interface I'm completely sold but she told me that they are not accepting new photographers till all the old ones are migrated over to the upgraded version.

I'm seriously in need of this organizational tool! Anyone out there know when they will be taking new photographers? I need a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm hoping it's not too far away.

Thanks!

I *just* got off their website, checking and rechecking. I've been waiting and waiting but there doesn't seem to be any word. I'd like to start off the year with everything set up and ready to go!

Right there with you. I can't even frikking remember where the heck I'm supposed to be at 4:30 tomorrow evening....seriously....I feel your pain. I'm interested in joining too....just waiting like everyone else.

It's almost like waiting in line at the DMV, just not as bad.

Closer to Jan 1st? I really hope they would launch it in mid december to allow new users to set it up and get going for 2009. My January is way to busy to messing around with new software.

ShootQ is about to lose a lot of new clients. I seriously cannot wait that long. Debating on starting a trial with Studio Cloud.

StudioCloud looks nice as I am sure ShootQ is too. My thing is that if I am going to pay $25 or $40 a month, then I want it to completely do my accounting too. I know StudioCloud has "BookKeeping," but it would be a lot nicer if I could have one application to do it all. A true FULL Studio Management application.

Sucks for the people who are too impatient - they will be missing out because they can't wait a couple of weeks to a month or so... I really don't see what the big deal is. They're in the process of migrating over all of the current accounts as we speak. and they should be done with group C by late december/eeearrly january if everything goes smoothly.

I know shootQ isn't hurting from people not signing up because of this - it just sucks for the people who sign up with studio cloud because shootQ kicks its ass and they don't know what they're missing haha.

I'm looking forward to the new ShootQ too, the original just didn't work with the volume of portrait work we do.

Chris you might want to check out Successware - PPA endorses them and we saw a demo at Liana's class - it does accounting/tracking as well as job tracking and CRM. Very complete as long as you're working from just one machine/location (shootq works from anywhere you have internet access and lets clients fill in their own details).

It has nothing to do with being impatient.

Say that you needed a hard drive. You (theoretically) go to Best Buy after constant referrals and realized they are closed. You decide...hey....maybe they are open tomorrow, and you try back tomorrow, but they are closed. Your forced to go somewhere else. Plain and simple.

I would just love to know an ETA. If it's December, fantastic. If it's January, I'll have to find something else. I'm shooting in 2 counties and 3 different states during Jan. I don't have on time to fiddle with new software. Ya know?

The wait for ShootQ will be longer than a few week or even months. There are people who are schedule for migration as late as february. But it does look that it will be an awesome upgrade.

In the meantime check out Táve Studio management.

Cheaper and as good.
