Who decided to put 24 and Heros on at the same time!? Am I going to have to get a second Tivo? I only watch 4 different shows a week and those are two of them! Now here is a question, if you could only watch one, would it be Jack or the Cheerleader?

Save the Cheerleader....duh.

But Jack has saved the world, what, 7 times?
If I can't get another Tivo I will probably watch Heros. I can wait for 24 on DVD, it is better that way anyways.

love both shows but I think 24 wins for me. Remember that the newest episode of Heros is played online at NBC.com for a week. I am not sure about Fox but I watched both Heros and Lost a lot this way during the fall season. Lost even had all the shows form the season up to view at anytime. Perhaps Fox will follow suit!

You already know how 24 ends.
And 24 is all plot - no story or character development.

This is not going to bode well for our marriage!! Just kidding.
My husband and I are 24 fans, but I have become partial to Heroes (even though they lied and said Save the cheerleader, save the world, but then wimped out and changed the inflection so it meant something else and never actually tell us anything..... I'm not really bitter)
That is weird that the few shows we watch are on at the same time. Actually, whenever we had to miss 24, we realized that they would rerun the show the night before at like 11pm so if we missed it because of a meeting then we could watch it the next week. But I don't know if they're going to do it again this year.

My DVR will record two shows at the same time, will yours not?
I'd have to Save the Cheerleader. But that's probably because Keiffer Sutherland has kinda creeped me out ever since Flatliners.

Wow, I didn't even realize this. This is one time that I am thankful for our Cable HD-DVR (TimeWarner). Usually it is subpar, but the ability to record two shows simultaneously is just a life saver sometimes. But if I had to choose, I choose Jack. He's my idol!
Our older Tivo is now relied upon to record Barney and Sesame Street

Thanks for that, I spit my milk out. Reachin' deep into the Keiffer pile for that one... Jack would have slayed that little hockey dude, though.
Colin, are you crazy? 24! But my guess is that they'll change the lineup at the last minute.

Check out the iTunes store -
I just bought the season of Heros. To me it is a better show, one that is on the way up, while 24 is a great solid series. I'd rather have Heroes.

I'll have to cast my vote for "24." "Heroes" looked really cool, but I missed the first 2 or 3 episodes and then felt hopelessly lost.
Besides, can you say any of this about the characters on "Heroes"?....

If Jack Bauer was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Nina Meyers, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice.

Osama bin Laden's recent proposal for truce is a direct result of him finding out that Jack Bauer is, in fact, still alive.
Jack Bauer doesn't miss. If he didn't hit you it's because he was shooting at a terrorist twelve miles away.
If Jack and MacGyver were locked in a room together, Jack would make a bomb out of MacGyver and get out.
Superman wears Jack Bauer pajamas.
Jack Bauer's favorite color is severe terror alert red. His second favorite color is violet, but just because it sounds like violent.
When Google can't find something, it asks Jack Bauer for help.

When you open a can of whoop-ass, Jack Bauer jumps out.

I could never get into 24, it's too cliche, atleast heroes is somewhat original in how they do things.

heroes is definitely way more interesting. there's only 2 shows kenneth & i watch each week and it's heroes & house. the only prob is that there are toooooo many commercials during heroes. while i appreciate all sorts of clever marketing ideas and advertisements (i have a mktg background), the plot advances so slowly due to the plethora of commercials. the suspense is ridiculously killing me!

Sorry, never seen an episode of either one, so can't help there. My wife has 3 Tivos, 2 have the lifetime subscription but with the new one (with dual tuner), lifetime is not an option anymore, you have to go month by month. Oh well, at least it's only $6.95 instead of full price...
