I'm looking to get some large prints.. like 20x24 and up. I'm specifically interested in having prints that come like pre-mounted on board? I always see these at the WPPI print competition. Where can I get these done? What kind of pricing am I looking at?

Thanks! smile.gif

I now get all my stuff done through WHCC - super fast and cheap!
Oh, the quality is good too.

I usually use Millers Professional Lab. They're great! I use Pictage for my smaller printing. wink.gif

They just launched their winter sale. Good time to send in your test prints. Then on Jan. 7th you can send in something to print large and the price will be 20-30 percent less than the normal price, or something like that. Good time to order large print samples. I'm getting my stuff ready to send in next week. Woo hoo!

Hi Rachel--I have worked with Barry at Digital Arts there in Atlanta! He's great. He has only printed one of my paintings into a giclee print for me. Really nice guy and nice work!

Hope you're great and have had an awesome new year so far!

I can do up to 17" on my Epson 4800. Beyond that it just depends on pricing at that time.

Go here:
Become a WHCC client

Send in the test prints, then once you place an order after Jan. 7th through ROES, the price (they said in the email) will automatically reflect the sale prices. PM me and I'll forward the email about the sale to you. I think the sale goes through March or something.

(I don't work for them, but spent a fortune on Christmas cards this year.)

Pricing seems to be different with each lab. My lab is Fotoworks out of California and I've been very happy with them.

Purely WHCC. I can't imagine using anyone else! They simply rock.

Mpix-a division of Miller's. You'll get your prints easier and faster through them instead of Miller's directly.
MeeksDigital
WHCC is faster and less expensive than Millers and Mpix. The fact that Mpix charges shipping on their orders is a big bummer, and their large print prices are noticeably more than WHCC. Also, Mpix is not a professional lab - their service, consistency and quality are certainly below par with real pro labs like WHCC, PRODPI etc.

WHCC all the way baby-on 2mm styrene board is a good way to go smile.gif

i love using 1/4" for prints above 16x20 and over... haven't tried their 2mm styrene... it must be nice though, eh?

do you have some photos of any of your prints on the 2mm board?

I happen to have a photo of a print mounted on 2mm styrene, I mount all photos 10x10 and up. I've never used any other mounting options, so I cant compare it, but I love the styrene, its sturdy and plastic-y (a good plastic-y).
