Ive used Overnight Prints and was not happy with the color even though I submitted in CYMK and RGB the colors were very muted. I have a new simplistic design and am looking for a company that does Linen Cards with raised print with good colors. Also critique the card design please...Any ideas are appreciated. thumbsup.gif Thanks

I like two, but not one. I couldn't tell what the letters were w/o the words next to them. It looked like a stylized 'A' from a distance. Colors are nice on the dark bg on two. You might have just one too many fonts going on there. I like how 'photography' is in a more readable font but perhaps matching your name to that font or making a difference completely by making the name and 'photography' in a blocky or plain font with the stylized letters in the middle.

just my .02 . Definitely like 2 over 1 though.

P.S. I think the Holritz's have linen cards. you should ask where they got them.

Interesting - I used Overnight Prints and the color looked great on mine. I wonder what the difference was? sad.gif

Personally, I like your card design very well.

I used overnight prints, my color looks great....I have used them for over 6 months now......3 separate orders and they all have looked great.

The first cards I got from Overnight Prints were aweful. They were too dark and not even close to what I submitted.

I called them to ask about it, and they explained they had had a printer error that day (why ship bad cards? I have no idea) but they did reprint them correctly and re-send them. I am very happy with the results and I will use them again.

did you ask them why the colors were bad? Perhaps they will fix yours too. At least you would have extra's then--you could still go with the linen too.

P.S. I like the first design, but can see how it could get mistaken for an A.

I think your initials in orange are a little hard to distinguish.
Maybe try a different font.

I think it has to many different colors. Fonts you used are hard to read.
I would leave just your logo at front and drop 'photography' word. At the back I would use max two colors and more readable fonts.

Hey Josh...I actually really like your initials. It's different...they can stand on their own, and i think it works as a great logo for you too. I'm not too crazy about the spriptina font along with it in the first design, but i love the color combination in the 1st and 2nd design. I would try a non cursive font in both designs for the word "photography" I think it will help your initials speak for themselves

Josh, I also think if you get rid of that white line and keep the phone # and website the same color it helps with the continuity of the whole design. I played around with it and here is what i came up with.

i LOVE overnight prints - but I also had them gloss UV coat the first ones, and the color really popped and was highly saturation, but when i did matte finish, i liked the muted colors better, but if i wanted them to pop out and be saturated, i would've been diasppointed. I guess it was a good mistake.
