Alright, so I still have a lot to learn obviously. I realized I need to learn how to dodge & burn. I found some posts on it and saw how differently it can be done. Do any of you know of a tutorial (video maybe?) for dodging & burning?

Go to itunes for free photoshop podcast, type in a search and you will find what you are looking for. Also there are many photoshop tutorials on you Tube as well.

I would also suggest
this video MCP actions blog. This is the way that I always dodge and burn now. It's so easy and great in my opinion without damaging the original JPG file, which is exactly why I use it.

I have started using the history brush and really like it. Make a snapshot, put the history brush next to it, select screen or multiply depending on your goal, use about 8-10% opacity. Make a new snapshot every time you get what you like. It doesn't mess up the colors, and is very quick.

yin - yang through TRA (original set, not new sun drenched ones) made need for tutorials totally unnecessary...i LOVE it! and have made it a keybaord short cut (F1 in fact) ~ it's been such a difference with efficiency.....
