I have a Western Digital Passport drive, 250Gb - and I am trying to get it ready to send out to -"Photographers Edit" from a recent session. However, their website says the drive needs to be formatted FAT, and I have two options, my Windows XP box (currently NTFS) or my iMac. I'm not sure how to format this drive to the way that they want it. The only option on the PC is NTFS?!? Any help?!?
Thanks,
Jake~

By the time I realized that I couldn't figure it out today - it was after their "business hours", 9am-4pm.

I guess it can wait another day.

I would assume if it's formatted for Mac they will be able to work with it, since they most likely work on macs...
Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) would be the way to go unless you hear otherwise from them on the phone.

Hey Jake! You can send the drive formatted for PC or Mac. On our site I ask that you send the drive in the MS DOS or FAT format so that it's universal, but you can send it however it's most convenient for you and we'll be able to remove the files.
Thanks!

Perfect Nathan! If I format the drive in NTFS (Windows) will you still be able to write to it - or will I be limited to "downloading" the edits (FTP) from your servers?

Macs can install a driver to allow them to write to NTFS, but it'd be much easier if you just formatted to fat32.
Here's how:
http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm(Windows won't format FAT32 larger than 32GB, so you have to use this freeware program. Nice and easy.)
Windows boxes need a driver to read/write Mac's Journaled format, Macs need a driver to read/write NTFS. Either can read/write on FAT32.
Hope this helps!

Hey Shan - Thanks! I didn't know all that...at all! I just noticed that the passport drive that I already have is still formated FAT32, so I think rather than tinkering with it - I'm just gonna leave it be. But I am bookmarking that link for future use! Thanks again!!!

Hey Jake. You seemed to have figured things out! Just leave it in the FAT32 format and we'll be able to offload your images, and then put the finished product back on there for you.
Thanks for your business!
