Dear OSP,
I had the oppurtunity to photograph a great couple in Downtown Edmonds Washington. It was a totally cute city with a bizillion photo ops. I was having a blast, and so was the bride and groom. This was my first wedding with a second flash. I recieved the SB-800 for christmas and had fun at this wedding using it to set off my sb-600. Let me know what you think, especially about how i used the second flash. thanks.

During the family formals and the reception i had the sb600 place on the balcony behind the stage. I didnt use it during the ceremony because i forgot to turn the beeper off on it. You can clearly see its location in pic 11, it looks like a spotlight.

Thanks

Great photos, John. I especially love #s 5, 9 & 10. I'm thinking of buying a SB800 to use as you did with the SB600.

do it. It really lets you start to be a whole lot more creative, and will challenge you to kick it to the next level. You can get some really cool lighting with a second light.

Nice work John.

John,

I love the photos. 11 is cool, I think with the flash.

I like the way you crop the photos...... is that weird? I hope not.

Thanks,
I really like the flash showing in number 11 as well. I havent really played around with flare very much, so I think it is fun.

I do all of my cropping when i shoot, and rarely do any cropping in PS. Thanks for the compliment, and no it is not weird.

I was editing through this wedding and found this image of the bride spinning. Something about it really strikes me. Does anyone else see it?
