No strobe. Just a lot of natural light coming in from the left.

LOL, Neil!

My routine is pretty basic and my diet is too. It involves the five basic food groups:
1. Chips
2. Salsa
3. Guacamole
and for dessert
4. Dark Chocolate
and for a snack
5. Peanuts or peanut M&Ms

That's all. No photoshop necessary, but I do pay attention to the lighting. wink.gif

Thanks! I used a large soft box up very close on my left (subjects right). I had a reflector at a 45 degree angle on my right (subjects left). I had some back lights coming from each corner about even with the back edges of the back drops pointing at the back of the subject measuring about 1 stop less in light than the main (I think...). The funn thing was I started out this way on this shoot... and when I looked at my camera screen, I thought the reflector wasn't enough light, so I took it down and added a fill light instead. After I loaded them on the computer, I thought this was much better, and the fill light was too flat..... by the way the cute little guy is my son!

Every one has such great images.... I have a lot of work to do....

There are so many great images in this thread that there are just too many to mention. But Jason, that cathedral shot makes me want to stand and sing the Hallelujah Chorus! Awesome.
Jeff
Joy-- AWESOME thread. Thanks for kicking it into gear. I love it when the mutual admiration society gets together to share/learn/teach/enjoy.

G$: Dad's reflection in the mirror totally makes that wedding shot. I love the "observing the observer" effect. Something about watching him watch his daughter in a playful moment seals it for me. As for the engagement shot, I said it when you posted it the first time around and I'll said it again...WOW! Nuff said. You earned your Peanut M&M's that day.

Amber: That bathtub shot is nothing short of perfection. And while imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, one of these days I plan on bypassing "imitation" and leapfrogging straight to "blatant ripoff." Thanks for sharing this one.

Shane: That limo shot totally rocks.

Chris: That portrait? Holy cow! That could be one of the most beautiful images I've seen in a long time.

Brady: Same goes to you for the sky/billowing veil shot.

Jenna: That umbrella shot should be on a greeting card...or in a magazine...or on a freakin' billboard!

So, here are mine...in no particular order.

Thanks Garrett! I was really happy with that one - it is one of the Churches you can "feel" you are in the presence of Go-.

Regina - I shot that with the Canon 16-35mm lens and the 5D with a little post processing to bring in some saturation. Other than that it is just a beautiful Church! Hallelujah! smile.gif

There really wans't much to it. A wide angle lens on my 5D (16MM) and available light - I bracketed (a bunch of exposures) to make sure I had the perfect exposure. It really is an amazing Church that just finished a mulit-million dollar renovation.

Hmmm...our OSP-MC shots are creeping back onto the forums! yay!!!!

Uh, I didn't post those...

Matt????? Are the Russians back?
4HisGlory Photography
Shane,
This is the issue with the database which should fix itself when the database runs out of pointers from old posts to their associated photos. So if post #1000 now has either new photos or none at all the database would associate the old photo with the new (back from the no-backup loss) post number. At least that is how I interpreted Matt's explanation.

Hope this helps,

May we see each other through grace filled eyes,
Mike
