I'm doing a canvas print for my 1st wedding..(yeah me) and want to put 4-5 photos on the canvas but have the edges smoothly blend together instead of just a straight edge on each side. Does that make sense? I saw one done a long time ago and it looked so cool. But I cannot figure out how to do it in PS.
This is not the final file just a sample of what I DON"T want. What else can I do with the sides so that they blend together? Don't want a full border around them just something more then the lines.
Hope this makes sense and hope someone can help. Thanks!!

use layer masks and blend them together.

Thanks..but um I think I need my hand held through this one. I have no idea how to use layer masks to get the technique I'm looking for. Someone will have to walk me through this if you don't mind.

A bit more on topic, an easy way to get where you want is with a simple selection and blur.

If you haven't already done so, flatten your image.

Use the rectangular selection tool, and select the area between two of the images. Make sure you leave some room to blend them.

Hit "Select->Modify->feather" and use a high value (100px or more, depending on the size of your image).

Hit Filter->Blur->Gaussian Blur. Again, a high radius will be needed, depending on the size of your image.

Repeat this for the other seam.

I'd personally learn the layers technique, since it gives you much more control, but this is the easiest way to get to what I think you're looking for. Here's a sample result based on what you posted.
