The work displayed here is absolutely breathtaking and I know this forum is going to lead to many more hours in front of the computer screen. I'm a Junior in High School and I can credit my father with getting me excited about photography.
My dad bought me a Rebel two years ago but it's only been in about the last 3 months that I have figured out what I'm doing, as far as camera settings go/lighting/flash techniques. Unfortunately I'm still stuck with the Rebel until I can save up enough money to trade it in the for 30D, but I've been accumlating lenses that fit my budget!
My family went on a vacation on the East Coast of Canada and down into Boston this summer and I took well over 1000 shots. Drove my parents crazy but had a blast. Except now I look at those shots and drive myself crazy with everything I should have been doing (I think I kept it on P mode the whole time...
I'm psyched about getting to know more about photography (aren't we all?) and the possibility of doing this as a career. I'd love to get to know more of you, and I already see a bunch of familar faces around. (I'm an avid blog-reader!)
Talk to you soon!
