In honor of trying to get OSP back into the enjoyable conversation place it used to be and not all of the tension everything has been turning into lately, post your favorite memory from this holiday season!!
Mine would be showing my
video project gift to my family for the first time on Christmas Day. Seeing their tears and hearing their laughter made me assured that I did good! And candlelight service at our church on Christmas Eve is always a great memory we have every year.

along the same lines...
photographing our Christmas Eve gathering (several families come over to our house after our candlight Christmas Eve service and we have chili and sweets and exchange gifts and just hang out).
Ms. Jennifer is still in the hospital, but she kicked all of her family out of her hospital room and made them go to the service and to our house afterwards, but wanted them to photograph it. No one remembered a camera ....but i had one!! so I photographed the heck out of it.
I spent all of Christmas morning working on the photos, and putting together a slideshow of it, so on Christmas afternoon, she got to see what she missed the night before. She hasn't laughed much since she was hospitalized months ago, but she really giggled through the whole thing, it was so relieving to see her enjoy herself for once.

Amen!
My husband and I took our kids away from everything and spent the holiday in a Cabin in the woods. The whole week was one long great memory, but honestly, I think the best memories are going to be our long family nature walks, exploring the mountain and the creeks, and letting our 5 year old son be the "tour guide!!"

You did very good! It was so nice of you to share your video with all of us too. :-)
My favorite memory this holiday season was reading and then singing a song with my whole extended family that my grandmother wrote when she was a teenager. It's a hilarious song, I'll try to find and post it....

I had the most memorable, awesome New Years Eve to date! I went with one of my best friends to see our friend from high school who has a reggae band - I wasn't sure how i'd like it, but we danced for hours into the middle of the night (and I *never* go out and dance at all!). I finally fell asleep at 6am this morning! I am so insanely grateful to have my friends in my life to do stuff like that with, especially right now!

Probably mine would be Sister Grace's concert (my Christian all-girl band) on Dec. 23rd IN SPITE of my laryngitis and strep throat. It was great to hear the other 4 sing. I don't usually get to hear them for singing myself. But since I couldn't, I received the gift of hearing them and "that blend/harmony" that we're known for. So instead of feeling sad, I felt happy. That silver lining in a bad situation--we just have to look for it.
