Should I automatically upgrade to cs4 or stick with cs3. Currently working on cs...think it's time to upgrade.

CS3 sucks, IMO... According to friends who've beta tested CS4 it's supposed to be a WHOLE LOT better than 3 I'd wait for 4

good to know! I know it's supposed to come out at the beginning of next month. I'll be patient. Any reason that I should pre-order? Does the price usually go up after release or anything?

I am kinda' in the same boat.... I have cs2. I am waiting for cs4 and skipping cs3. I did the one moth trial of cs3, you could always do that and by the time your thrirty days are up the cs4 might be out.

I liked the RAW editor better because more control but it had alot of bugs, couldn't handle weddings very good but was great when I was working on editting my seniors and stuff.

Oh and I don't know anything about prepay stuff but on the adobe website it did have some place you can sign up for I think an email notice as to when it will be released.

I'm stoked for CS4, CS3 is better then CS2 but I have definitely had a lot more issues with crashing in CS3 then with CS2, so hopefully CS4 is a little more stable.


Wow I said CS a lot in that sentence hehehe.

I've been working on CS3 for the last 5 months or so. Never had a problem. It does everything I would like it to do.
