hey guys
tip we discovered a few months back... thanks to Matt Adcock out of Mexico/GA...

Want to shoot a shot 12-15 feet in the air... below is how you do it... thanks to Jason Armond for taking a photo of me taking a photo of the wedding...

put a quick release plate on your camera attach it to a monopod ... extend monopod...turn your timer on wait 10 seconds and poof there is your shot... make sure your shoting at a high F-stop

How rockin' is that. Although I am short, so I will be lucky to get it 8-10 feet in the air. tongue.gif

That's a great tip! Thanks for posting both the how-to-do-it and final result shots.

Thank you for posting that, I think I'll need to work on my arm strength before I try this, or my balancing perhaps smile.gif

if you have 2 Pocketwizards, you can trigger your camera from the ground also smile.gif no hoicking up and down to take a photo!

My friend used this technique to take some photos from out of a motorbike sidecar - just above road level etc!
Awesome to be reminded of it!

Or... you could do this:

I do this all the time (and I've done Mike's technique too - I just don't like to be in the center of the picture). If you have a remote shutter cord, just attach that and let it hang down. I know some of the ebay ones are pretty long.

Oh, and turn off back button focusing with this!
