Okay, so I had this random idea and my daughter volunteered to be my test model... At the risk of showing how crazy I can be I am sharing this with all of you. smile.gif I made her a dress, can you guess what it is made out of? I posted this on my facebook page and so far no one has figured it out. I will share exactly what I did after a few people have tried to figure it out. Hint: It is not fabric and it only took me a couple of minutes to make.

Grace and Peace,

Crystal

good job Kari!

Okay, so my husband thought I was crazy but my daughter thought it was fun. I had her strip down to her sqiveys and wrapped her in plastic wrap, creating a dress of sorts. I added a bit more around the top and I had my dress. I then grabbed a couple of cans of spray paint and had a little fun... I painted the entire dress metallic silver and then gave it a few pink lines. Then I played with a few textures in photoshop...and you guys see the end result. Then I grabbed the corner of the "dress" and spun her out of it! My husband just laughed at us... we had a blast. smile.gif

It was Kimberly, it was even fun to watch her "waddle" around our back yard because she was afraid that her "dress" was going to fall off! ha! Oh, the joys of motherhood....smile.gif

I really do not find this funny and find your comment in very bad taste.

You're an awesome mom for sharing your creativity with your daughter! I love the dress, but the story of how it was made and the fun you all had making it and photographing it, and post-processing it -- that's the best part! What a great memory for all of you!

Thanks Jules. It was all actually an impromptu photography lesson for her, I am teaching her photography for one of her classes this year. smile.gif

How did you deal with spraypaint that got on her skin? Was it hard for her to get it off afterwards?
