I have tried focusing my 5D (L lenses only) numerous ways; multi points, selecting individual points, center point only. I have the best results with center point, but still have occasional out of focus shots, usually in low light or back lit situations. It's not camera motion, as I usually find something else in the photo in sharp focus. And I don't trust my old eyes enough to try manual.

Has anyone tried using only servo, which activates the 6 center assist points, even for still subjects? Will this work with no subject movement, and perhaps give more accurate/sharper focus?
