okay, instead of adding on to the post from 2007, I'll just start a new one.
I went through two pair of sketchers in plain black, but my feet & back still KILL me at the end of the night.

so I'm trying something else. I got these yesterday in plain black and I am SO excited about them. They seem to have more support than most flat shoes.

I'll let you know how it goes, but if they don't work out I am going to give up and get the mary jane crocs. but I hate crocs. esp. people who wear skirts & socks with thier crocs. ewwww

I refuse to wear crocs... they just don't have the support I want or the style I like. I have been wearing my Keen Calistogas for a year or so and love them, but I trashed them and needed to replace them... this time I went with Primos and so far I'm loving them. Still love my Keens though and will probably get a replacement pair.

those primos are sooooo cute!! I might try those too

those primos are cute!

My wife and I both wear Merrells. The best shoes we've ever tried.

I haven't bought any yet, but I have a friend that is a pharmacy tech, and she stands on her feet all day. She wears a shoe called Stricly Comfort. Here is the link: http://www.like.com/shoes--strictly_comfor...ecedSHO84a0eced

it's the black one called: Melissa. She swears by them. I'm going to have to try them.

I wear these in black.

Naot footbeds conform to your feet so they get more comfortable the more you wear them. They're the only ones I've found that gives me enough arch support so my feet aren't aching by the end of the day.

I second the keens. I got a pair from REI on close out a few months ago and they are the most comfy shoes I own. I bought green ones on a whim because the color was awesome, so they don't get as much wedding use as I wish. I am definitely picking up another pair or two in black or brown when they are on sale again.

I have been wearing the ballet flat crocs all season and I feel great after a wedding. I used to get really bad leg cramps in the middle of the night and since switching over to these I have been pain free!

I wear whatever shows I want. haha

I spent money on separate support insoles instead of the shoes, which will wear out, and I can stick em in any pair of shoes I want. smile.gif

I swear by my black Earth shoes - Mary Janes. I can wear these with or without socks (black of course!) and my feet won't hurt at all by night's end.

I don't know how women shoot a wedding in heels (of those I've heard who do). That's craziness!!!!

I wear these.

Cole Haan merged with Nike and so they are stylish but have Nike Air technology in them to create a super comfortable shoe.

They have lasted me a full year and now I am replacing them for the exact same pair. I had the metallic, but may go for the black this time!

I just bought these, and love them. Well, now I do. I forgot to wear them around the house a few times before my next wedding, and ended up with HUGE blisters on my heels. Since then I took the time to break them in and they are SO comfy. Very supportive and flexible.

My vote is for Privo's by Clarks. They have little nubbie things on the inside...it's like a massage while you're walking. Not cheap but oh so worth it..and you can even find them at Marshalls/TJMaxx for a good price. And like any truely comfortable shoe, not particularly stylish.

I love my Privo's. I did find a pair of non-wedding clogs at Marshall's for a great price. For weddings I wear a mary-jane style. They were recently on sale at footsmart.com. They have tons of feet-friendly shoes and brands.
Amy Clark
Along the line of love for Clarks, I have a pair of their springers and they are just like heaven to step in. They look nice and professional with my suit pants, and I can wear them with or without socks. For the life of me I cannot find a link to them though.
Brandi is Cool
Thanks for all the suggestions here. I have been wearing my flat boots (you can't tell what they are under my slacks) but I feel like I need something else.

And I say Just say NO to Crocs. Blah.

I second Shoes for Crews. My mom is on her feet for 10+ hours a day, 6 days a week running a restaurant and she wears the Mary Janes from Shoes for Crews and swears by them!

I wear Nike shox! I love them! Actually, they really the only shoe I wear... not to stylish but they are soooo comfy!

Ok, I keep looking at all these shoes thinking I need to try some. Does anyone know where I can try on these without ordering them? I have never been a "shoe" girl, so I don't know what major stores carry these brands. I like the keen's the nike, and the merells.
