When we officially launch Simple Photo TV on January 1st, I'll be announcing our first "photographer's choice" contest for the person who uploads the most awesome photography videos in our first month of action. It could be one home run video or a conglomerate of solid contributions. It's people's choice so people can vote for whoever they think deserves it the most under whatever criteria they think best.

The winner will get a free copy of ANY one of the ShowIt applications they would like (thanks to our main man DJ). What a sweet prize! biggrin.gif

We'll be voting the last week of January and the winner will be announced the first week of February.

Let me know if you like this idea and if you have any questions here. Good luck!!

Who of you guys are planning on jumping in on this contest? I want to make sure to keep my eye out for any OSP'ers stuff as content begins to flow in. Thanks!

wish I had something to contribute, I'm just getting starting in the photo biz, but I will be looking forward to seeing the contributions of others!

dane, that is just the coolest!

oh, man oh man...
back to back weddings and no time to figure out the dang software that came with my camcorder.

BUMMER!

Saw Jess's on there and anxious to see how the rest of this goes. So, cool! And perfect timing as my mil gave me a video ipod for christmas!

Did you see Becker's new intro? He's so smart to leverage simplephoto.tv that way.

Maybe I will have to utilize my video stuff a few more times before I sell it. I'm sure I could come up with a few helpful tips.

I love the new site. Great idea, great follow through in getting it up. A few hiccups but that is to be expected. I cannot say how glad I am that I found this forum and all the outstanding people here.

Jen, just think of something that you do when you shoot, or edit, or print, etc, that you like to do because it just makes things easier or more fun. I see from your website that you work with kids a lot. I think we all know how bored kids can get at a shoot. Show us how you get them to cooperate with you or even ignore you so you can get some great candids. I believe that is in the spirit of Dane's Simple Photo TV

So, last month, I wrote ...

Well ... It's the middle of February and I forgot to follow up ... but today is a new day thumbsup.gif!

So, without further ado, are there any nominations for our first ever "photographer's choice" award??? Feel free to nominate anyone besides yourself. Woohoo!

I think the Holritz have put up some VERY helpful videos as well!

Not me guys - let's push someone else to the head of this class! smile.gif

My vote would be for CT Walter who created one of the most viewed SP.TV videos:

CT or the Holritzes for sure. Put any support for what I've done towards one of them! I'd rather they won!

Matt has rocked on smile.gif

Thanks Amber,

I just wanted to point out that most of my uploads were done in Feb. not January. So most of what I have on SPTV isn't eligible. wink.gif

(I'm just bumping to hopefully get more support for CT and Holritz Photography)
