HI! I just started using Ben & Laura Harrison's album design templates for indesign and I am so hooked--I knew nothing about indesign when I started this afternoon and now I have already designed 1 36 pages album and 1 60 page album. Totally check them out if you haven't yet!!!

So the problem is that when I was starting my second album, I forgot to uncheck the little box that creates "facing pages" and when I exported all of my spreads they broke up into pages. This is good in one way because I want to order from WHCC and they don't take spreads (at least last time i checked) but my lovely album showcase software needs them to be in spread not pages.....

I have not closed out the indesign doc yet because I am hoping there is some way to undo what I did. I daw you can go and change the document setting and check the box but then it jumbles up my spreads.

Can anyone help me out---I hope there is an easy button for this one.

Thanks buddies!
Kari

Hi Kerri,
I am still pretty new at InDesign, so maybe there is an easier way. But, what I would do is make a new document with the box unchecked, then copy each page onto the new document. It might take all of 10 minutes or so, but if you don't know another way, this will probably work.

If you do a search, I seem to remember Kevin Swan responding to a similar question about designing with facing pages checked so that you can export to an album company that requires them to be separate.

If you could share a screenshot of your pages pallet and the document setup dialog, I might be able to help you figure out how to fix your design if you haven't done it yet. Kari's suggestion will probably work and be pretty fast, though.

Edit: Aha! I found the thread!
