One of my BFF's has a brother in law who is getting married in November. Apparently the bride's family has some issues going on and she has no budget for a photographer. I don't know them. The MOG is upset that they are just having a friend take pics but they have asked her to pay for some other stuf, blah, blah, blah so she can't pay for it. My BFF also hates it b/c she values photography and knows they will regret not doing what it takes to get a photographer.

So I thought I would post. I'm not asking if anyone is interested in a "charity" photography thing - b/c I just don't know what their situation is. For all I know they could be spending money on other things. I heard that they are having around 100 people at the wedding.

I just thought there might be someone out there who would be interested in getting some portfolio work - maybe someone who has never photographed a wedding but would like to do so without any pressure (b/c they certainly are not going to have anything otherwise). It might not be worth it - but I'm thinking someone could photograph for as long as they like and then put images up for sale.

No flames please. I know it annoys some people to read posts like this. But I also know that when I was getting started and needed practice/portfolio work - I would have appreciated an opportunity like this.

I am all about this! I'd love more information. I need and want weddings in my portfolio. I'm in the fort myers area so I'm not exactly sure where Suwanee is but let me know what info you need from me as I'd be willing to drive.

One question, why would you be flamed for this? I think it is great that other photographers are so willing to put opportunities out there. BUT, I'm just a newbie, what do I know?
