My Mac just crashed. I was in PS and it all of a sudden quit. When it came back up, all my folders on the desktop are gone!! I've got 10.4. I guess it would've been a good time for 10.5 and time machine. Any ideas of what I can do or am I screwed?

I had a friend that something similar happened. She said that after the crash, a lot of her stuff was just "Gone". Programs and everything. When she took it to the mac store they basically said that the computer was too full, and the Mac just shut down, and got rid of some of the stuff. she brought it in, got it cleaned off, and got some of the stuff reloaded on it.

Hope it isn't too serious... were you backed up?

Kari, I spent most of this afternoon backing up my last three sessions to DVD's and external hard drives. But, I did have a few folders on my desktop that are just GONE. The worst is the folder that I just got back from my graphic designer with my new logos. I hope that he can send me a new copy. This really stinks.
