Hello OSP, I've been lurking for a while, been meaning to say hello but honestly am a bit intimidated although it seems like everyone is very nice here. I guess I don't feel worthy, but I think David Jay will change that once I see him on his tour in two weeks in Toronto. Really looking forward to that, and if anyone else from T.O. is going, let me know as I'll be all by my lonesome, lol.
As for me, my name is Manuella and live in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I'll be 37 next week, happily married to my highschool sweetheart and we have 2 awesome lil boys, George who is 5 1/2 and Nik who is 2 1/2. I always loved photography but as a youngster I was usually in front of the camera. Once I had our first born to my surprise I realized that I had a passion for being behind the camera, its was like a fire that couldn't be extinguished. For the next few years, I learned as much as could while being a busy mom and took as many pictures as I could of whoever I could. My husband often said that my camera was sewn into my hand as I never went anywhere without it. My sweet hubby decided I needed a better camera and bought me an olympus camedia E-20N, LOVED it and was in heaven. From there I bought the canon 30D and a few lenses and now I'm at a cross roads and trying to decide between a mark and which one(and depending on affordability) or the Nikon D700 as I recently assisted a photog with a wedding, and she had converted and showed me how beautiful her shots looked on the camera and I must say I fell in love. I thought I would always be a canon girl, but now I'm not so sure. Sorry, I ramble, lol.
I opened for business last May(07) and then bought a site and am unexpectedly doing pretty well, I feel really blessed and wom has been really good and although I still feel I have tons to learn, I really believe I can turn my passion into a successful business, but I have alot to learn about business as well. I know this is just the beginning and although it all seems a bit overwhelming, I'm willing and able and I'm ready for whatever God has in store for me.
Anyways, thought I would say hello and I look forward to chatting and posting more on this forum.
