Full Version: 1st Maternity Shoot

I have a session with a previous bride for a maternity shoot which I plan to use a grey/black backdrop. I would like to have the white "wrap" that goes around the breast and privates. I have heard people using a long curtain scarf for this so I went out and bought one. How the heck to I get it to say on her? Tucking? Pinning? Does anyone make these things rather than using a curtain? I am so terrified of it falling off and embarassing her. I don't do nude photography ya know... wink.gif

I use a few yards of material and have them (and their partner) tie it in the back. I also give them little white squeeze clips that I bought at a grocery store (almost like a chip clip but smaller). They hold pretty well and super easy to clone out if one sneaks into a shot. I also have them use them on the back of the skirt.

Tell them to make sure they feel too tight. The material I use slips a bit...the curtain material might be fine though.

Also, I almost always see a bit that should be covered up...most preg. mom's have gotten over a bit of their modesty after the 20th dr's appt. smile.gif Don't be nervous and embarrased, just help her fix things. I've had mom's be a bit uncomfortable but as soon as I quickly helped them get it fixed, it was really no big deal.

I swear by these inexpensive hair clips, which I've seen referred to as banana clips or jaw clips. They come in all sorts of sizes and you can buy them seemingly everywhere. Here's an example:

Thanks for all the good advice. I will definetly get some clips of some kind. The girl is really beautiful & has a prego body to die for. On my main page (www.janawilliamsphoto.com) a photo from their e-session is the image for the link to my blog. You can't tell she was 5 months pregnant at the time!
