Hi OSP!

OK, I'm getting into the Wordpress blog "thing" as it is really a nice application. Thank you to everyone for your help!

Can anyone recommend a Wordpress plugin where people can enter their email address and subscribe to my blog?
kaitlin
It depends a little bit on what you mean by "subscribe." Do you want them to get an email everytime you post? Do you want to send emails occasionally? Or maybe a weekly digest (if you post more than 2-3 times a week, the weekly digest can be a very good choice)? If you can give me an idea of what you want to do, I can probably point you toward some options. I presume that you don't want to just let people use Google Reader, Feedburner, or something like that (you'll still have people do that, more than likely, just as a forewarning).

It does all of that and more.

If you have problems with people not getting the e-mail, let me know. Some servers can use the @wp_mail protocol and some can't. I had to change mine to @mail. Works quite well.
It sends the mail via BCC. Some hosts (like dreamhost) will only allow 30 e-mail addresses in the BCC field. You can set that number in the plug-in options page.

Have fun.

Thank you kaitlin, I really appreciate it. I want something where visitors can enter their email address and receive emails of new posts. Something easy and simple.

Feedburner allows you to manipulate your feed and includes an e-mail subscription feature. I use feedburner to manage all my sites (though not all use the e-mail RSS option). There's a bit of "under the hood" code tweaking but it's not difficult--mostly cut and paste.
