This adorable couple has been married for 40 years and hired me to get some portraits done just for themselves.

Same rings they gave eachother on their wedding day, 40 years ago.

Okay, my wife and I just celebrated our 21st anniversary. Carey, I hope you are still shooting in 19 years because I like you to hook me up on my 40th with a great shoot.

This was awesome! I love it.

That first shot....back when people were rich in love...no bling! Love it.

wow. these brought a tear to my eye. what i wouldnt give to have had my parents that happy for that length of time!

wow-nice set! I love her stylish dress in that 2nd photo. Love how simple the rings are in the first shot...def. not the norm to celebrate such simplicity.

My favorite has to be the one of him gently kissing her...very good angle, comp and post processing.

I really enjoyed this couple because they were so much fun.
A side/addition story is that the wife just survived cancer last year.
Her husband was tearing up a bit talking about almost losing her.
The Dr.'s pretty much said she's done. no chance. They were sure it was going to spread quickly & kill her.
It started in her throat at her lymph node.
They did aggressive surgery, radiation, they had to take a lot of her throat & a lot of her speech was affected, but she's been cancer free now for 6 months! She's getting a lot of her speech back, too, but she has a lot of scarring on her right side of her throat, so she asked me to not photograph that side. You can see in the 2nd picture that her right side is a bit more relaxed than the left in her smile, because of how extensive the surgery was. She was beaming for her hubby, tho@
