So I am in need of some ideas. A local gallery contacted me about showing my work in a "First Friday Art Trail" in September.

First Friday Art Trail is where the art galleries show art work from local artist the first friday of every month. Every month they have different themes. September's theme is local photographers.

So I decided to stick with one theme for my gallery showing. But I'm not sure what I should do! I have this really cool orange vintage chair I bought at a garage sell. I thought about useing that chair as a theme and having people pose by it/on it/around it ect. What do you think?

I love photographing children. Maybe children's faces?

What about using it as a "photo booth" you know just set the chair up and invite anyone and everyone of all ages, races, ect to come and sit for you. Same chair same backdrop different people. Invite some of your town leaders, teachers, heros recognizeable faces to sit for you. It could be really cool if you stayed true to each persons personality.

I like this idea. Reminds me of Richard Avedon's project "In the American West" back in the 80s (i think).

Last night after thinking about it ALOT...(and usually ideas will just come to me!)

Here are some other ideas I had...

Alot of friends were saying go "Vintage" (and I could actually use that chair)
They were saying go vintage because that is some of my best stuff. But I think I may want to go a different route.

Another idea was...(I had mentioned children..) to have little kids dress up as their favorite fiction charactor and have a huge outing with kids!!! I thought that was a cute idea...(not art...but FUN!)

Then I thought about...the whole raising awairness thing. (I have a sister is is mentally retarded) and doing some photos of her and her friends.

GOSH!! TO MANY IDEAS SOOO LITTLE TIME!
