I'm in need of help. I want to set up the slideshows for purchase as part of an ipod package but can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone point me to the right steps?

I've done a search of former posts and I've seen mentioning of ipod versions to buy from DJ, but can't figure out where that is. I have the full Pro version.

I haven't used it myself, but I understand that if you purchase the mpg from DJ, you download the file and then download it to your iPod.

I guess I'm still a little lost. What is it that I need to purchase in addition to the Show It pro that I already have? Or am I just missing a step with the software I already have?

Showit web only does flash slide shows for the web. You cannot export any format that is usable to download through an iPod. There is a service by DJ called Showit_DVD that is just for that. They take care of everything for you.

In Showit Web you can create an account for Showit-DVD. It is under the "Publish" tab.

Once you create the account you can setup the prices you want to sell the DVD and ipod downloads and design your store front with your logo, etc.

When you create your slide show, in the very first page you will see an option to upload the full res images. You have to select that. That way, when you upload the Showit folder for the slide show to the web it will upload the full res images also (the original ones you used to make the show). They will use those to produce the DVD or iPod versions.

Also, under the "Control" tab (under the Plater control) you have to select "Show purchase DVD button".

Upload the folder and you are set. Then, when your clients see the show you created for them in the web (your blog os site) if they want to purchase it on either DVD format or for use in the iPod, they just click "Purchase DVD" and it will take them thru the steps and options to purchase.

Once DJ people receive the order, they with convert the show for DVD use as well as for iPod use, they will also receive the payment and then you can withdraw your money.

if you wanna do it on your own completely here is a quick tip.
Head off to purchase Showtransformer and Proshow Gold. Both tools will help you to bring your Show over to Proshow. From there you can just export everything you can imagine of. Ipod, DVD, Youtube...

I have cut down my workflow to do only one show in SIW and bring it over to Proshow. I like to have complete control over the result including the DVD menu, disc printing and packaging.

There is a rumor that the new Show it version will have DVD burning ability among many other upgrades. If you not in a hurry you might save some money.

I think you would get a better result by paying $39 for the downloadable version that you can convert into anything. After all, this is a cost you would transfer to your client anyway.

And rumors has it that the upcoming version of SIW may have DVD exporting or burning.
