Anybody here use either the Canon 100mm or Sigma 50mm Macro lens? I wanna buy a macro lens for my 5D but I'm not sure which one to buy. I know there's a big price difference and length, but what do you think about quality?
Thank you for your input.

I have the 100mm macro. Pros: the lens has great color and sharpness. Cons: it's heavy and a little bulky. It's also hard to get a good macro shot if you're in a tight corner or small space (I've discovered this trying to use it for food photography). But my husband loves it as a portrait lens. I haven't used the Sigma 50mm, but I think the folks at Image is Found use it and they always get awesome ring shots off it.

We have the Canon 100mm Macro and love it. It is rather large but it's super sharp and extremely easy to use.
