So some of yall are thinking I am sure didn't we just do round 4? The answer is yes and its because I posted it so late in the week because I am a slacker. As I said posts are suppose to go up on Mondays. Anyways this week I thought it would be cool to see what yall are doing with those wide angles yall own. Personally about 70% of my stuff is wide angle so I can't say I have a FAVORITE. but this one one of the many.

Looking forward to what yall are gonna share.

wide angle is on my wish list right now...I *really* like shooting wide, nowhere near 70% of my shots but I definitely like what can be done from that perspective.

love this shot btw.

I actually don't shoot with the wide angle much (the 50 and 85 mm are my favs). But I did just order the Canon 24 1.4 so maybe that will change very soon...

Here's one from a wedding about a month ago.

I really don't do much wide angle, I'm an 85 kinda gal. I don't like being all up ons.

Great post, so many great images so far! You guys rock!

I haven't had my wide angle lens for long (not even a full month) so for now this is my fav:

lately, I guess it's this one:

the turtles have some AMAZING wide-angle wee-ones portraiture (natanda, am thinking specifically of your charming CHARMING business card folio shots ~ post 'em up you crazy kids) honestly i feel like i don't use the wider angles well; EVERYTIME i see zack arias stuff for example, i'm so inspired (yes, yes the lighting kicks a$$ but the composition, the use of the wide lens, whew so sweet) . . .

anyway, is it threadjacking to ask for ADVICE on shooting wide?

katiebev
No real advice because I really feel like I am still getting the hang of my 24 1.4...There is seriously a learning curve to it for me! Maybe that sounds dumb to some, but I have been so used to shooting long that I have really been needing practice! Details are easy with it, but people---totally needing to figure it out a little better!

One of my recent favorites.
