I have a Nikon D300
85 mm 1.4
50 mm 1.4
70-200 mm 2.8
28-105 mm 3.5
18-135 mm 3.5
I am looking for a good wide angle lens and all I have found are recommendations for Canon lenses. I am jealous of canons prime lenses. Does Nikon have anything comparable that you would recommend me getting, like the 35, 28, 24, 20? I appreciate your help and advice/experience.
Nikon's current wide angle primes (I don't consider 35 to count... esp. on a D300) are no faster than 2.8. If I'm using a prime, I want it to be faster than that! I just didn't find it worth it when 3rd party lenses were cheaper and faster. I ended up with a Sigma 20/1.8 that I actually like quite a bit... but I want something wider for that real, nice, distorted effect that I just don't get with it (I have a D300 as well). Maybe a 14-24 2.8

Edit: With your lineup, though, the 17-55 2.8 sounds like a really good option.
