Here are a couple shots I took of an adorable little baby that was just born on Tuesday July 15. I'm new to OSP and almost as new to Photography so I'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Hi Courtney! Love the bright colors Super cute baby too! As for critique, they look a little soft to me as well as a tiny bit over-smoothed (if that's a word!) I think the first one is my favorite though...I love how her face is lit. In the 3rd and 4th one I would love to see a little dodging (lightening) in her face... Great first post! Keep on posting more work--good work!

I definitely see what you're saying about the 'overly smooth' I am going to try out some dodging as well, see if I can lighten up the face just a little.

I like how she is posed but I think the highlights are too blown. I always have that trouble with window light!

I just saw your comment Thanks so much for checking it out. I definitely have a lot to learn but am having so much fun with it. It makes me sad when I have no one to shoot because I'm dying to practice and get better. lol Hopefully I will have some sessions coming up in the next 2 weeks


Oh yay! Another Louisvillian! We should get together sometime, I'd love to meet with other photographers in the area and possibly learn a little and maybe tag along for a wedding and watch/help out.
