I have my old light meter from when I was at school at RIT (10 years ago), and it's a GREAT Sekonic meter.

And I bring it to weddings. And use it occasionally.

I was just wondering if anyone ELSE uses a lighmeter at weddings and what for?

I just use it to meter formals with lights... otherwise I use my spot meter in-camera

i use mine to read the ambient light; i'm good at using my spot meter, but i'd rather be certain with the sekonic, and it doesn't take long to do

Yeah, same here. Every now and then, I find myself using it to meter the ambient.

I usually use my Sekonic L-358 with built in pw transmitter for formals with Quantum Qflash T2 and PW Plus II and for receptions, too.

I always carry an Sekonic L358; for me, it saves time.

I just got the L358 and Ive started using it at weddings. I particularly use it for bride getting ready and on location when I want to balance ambient with flash exposures quickly.

I hope to use more and more Manual flash with softbox at weddings soon to give me more control over my images.

I use my L-358 whenever I can. Bulletproof.
