Hi fellow OSPers! I realized that I need to work on branding myself. Right now I like the layout of my website, but the colors are all over the place! I love red, so parts of it are red, I love purple so parts of it are purple, I love teal so parts are teal...so with a lot of work I made an inspiration board yesterday of colors and things that stood out to me hoping to find something that represents me.
So I landed on this, with an elegant, vintage feel.

I'm not sure where to go with a logo or anything, but that is my job for today...just wanted to share because I'm excited and wanted to see what you guys think of the colors and if you have any ideas for logos etc....
Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments.

I thought about doing raspberry and chocolate...but this photographer has that color scheme and I didn't want to be the same...

that's funny cause i was about to suggest to do it the very same way she has - but SHE IS IN CALIFORNIA! that should not effect you in any way.

I really really like the cranberry, silver, and charcoal. Like you said, it has an elegant/vintage feel, and it's also very clean and fresh. I think it's lovely!

I love these colors too! They are actually my colors...mostly reflected on my bus card and primarily silver I would say, but I need to really revamp my website so that it reflects my branding better...My packaging is right on, my bus card is too, but website and blog need a little love in this department! So...You have great taste and I say go with it!

Okay,s o this isn't the first time I've seen someone do an inspiration board like this. Are you just scouring magazines, the internet, etc. for pictures you like/think reflect you, or what?
I love the colors by the way, and the overall image evoked by what you have here.

Love the color scheme. It has a very sophisticated look. I'm really intrigued by the polka dots. Wonder if there's a way you could work that in?

Amber, I love the colors, and they are indeed quite elegant and "refined vintage" (as opposed to bright retro). That said, I think what I would is select one main color and use the others as accents. When I looked at your collage (which is beautiful) the first thing that came to mind was Snow White!
I would make cranberry either the primary color with others as accents, which would be very dramatic and unique, or use it as an occasional accent color. You have several pairs of red shoes in there... I think it would be cute to have a model wear a tulle skirt like Marilyn's in your collage with a pair of red heels peeking out. On a white or grey background, that would make an incredible splash page!

Katie: Thanks for commenting...that is cool that your colors are the same....great minds think alike right?
Kaitlin: I actually looked at blogs that had inspiration boards all done. Saved them, and took the pictures from those collages that jumped out at me. Thanks for commenting!
Brandi:sweet! Sex appeal is good!
Lori: I actually love polka dots...so I would LOVE to incorporate them somehow.
Daisha: Thanks for sharing your ideas. I haven't had time to work anything up yet to see what I want as the main color, but thanks for your suggestion. The idea of the model wearing a tulle skirt is pretty cool...thanks!
I;ll make sure to update you all when I work something up...but today I am editing a wedding from this weekend...so back to work for me....
