Ive been in the indusrty for 5 years now, and have only ever offered and worked with Matted Albums, either Jorgensen or Albums Australia. I know them, am very familiar with them, can plan them really quickly and they always look hot.

I had a prospective client come and see me last weekend and the only reason she didnt say yes straight away is because i dont offer Magazine albums and she particually wanted one.

Is this something i should get into? Offer Magazine styles as well as matted style? or should i stay true to my roots, and the albums i love?

Its scary thinking about doing something out of my comfort zone. Its taken so long to get confident in album design, im worried my first few will look IKKY and turn clients away.

I'm new this year to weddings and I know for the most part around here (So.Cal) the most popular is the magazine style like LC. However, all of my clients so far have opted for matted (I offer both), who would have guessed?

We do about half matted and half flush albums with the thicker pages like leather craftsman. We do some coffee table style, like Asuka, but not for albums.

digital is what alot people ask for - magazine style.
We have 2 album companies who can mix matte / digital pages in their albums and our other album is just 1 straight magazine album.
