I just signed up with ShootQ and love it! Anyway, I'm restructuring my packages and I'm wondering if you guys can take a peek at what I came up with.

Here's the file..

I would change to wording of your disc of images from copyright release to print release. You are not giving up the copyright (thus no longer owning the photos or able to use them for your website/advertising) thumbsup.gif

My first thoughts ...

You need to change this wording : "Copyright Released DVD." You should NEVER give up your copyright - that means you won't be able to use the photos on your website or anywhere else. You can give them a print release so they can make their own prints, but never sign over your copyright!

I'm not sure what a "digital magazine is" ???

Also - I never guarantee a specific number of images. I average around 300-400, but have given as low as 250 before from a pretty small, short wedding. If you put "400 photos" in the package and then don't deliver that many, you're gonna have some headaches.

And your albums. You're not charging much for the upgrades. For an extra 10 pages it's only $250? It'll cost YOU that much. What does that mean? You're giving away your time spent on those pages for FREEEE.

Just my thoughts, anyway. Good luck!

Hi Sarah -

Thanks so much for your feedback. I didn't even think about the 400 number!

I was thinking about you today because of a post you did on your hardrive headache that happened recently. My hard drive died too last week, I sent it into DriveSavers and they can't recover one single file. Not one.

And for whatever reason my DVD burner made a bunch of corrupt copies of files on my backup disks. So I'm out images on 4 weddings. My next step is to send in the DVDs to DriveSavers. That's gonna cost me $200 for each DVD IF they can even recover the files.

I'm disgusted right now. Completely, utterly, disgusted. I can't believe this is happening.

Oh, girl. I feel your pain sad.gif Luckily I got everything back okay, but that was a STRESSFUL time (and EXPENSIVE - it cost me more than TWO GRAND!)

Hope it works out for you!

Is this just for weddings? I would like to know as well. I was playing with the idea of adding albums to portrait pacakges but don' tknow if people even buy albums for portrait sessions.. tongue.gif
