Ok, this may sound funny but
you are asking for an opinion? Dude your stuff is AWESOME!!
I can't believe you'd use anything above f/0. Sorry! I have no input but couldn't resist.

I had a 28 1.8, and i thought it was great. Nice and sharp wide open, smooth blur in the background at 1.8. I only sold it because i jumped to the 24 1.4.
The 35/2 is kinda cheap feeling if i remember correctly. And the 24 2.8 isn't fast enough to justify owning, because normally you already have 24 2.8 some how, either from a 16-35 2.8 or a 24-70 2.8. So i never saw the point of a 24 2.8, just my thoughts.
Enjoy,

ha, thanks for the props. the 28 actually seems like an options. the reason i am asking is because i have a new water housing and the port it comes with fits all of those plus the 50. so i thought in stead of buying a new port i would just get a lesn.
i have heard the 28 might be pretty solid.
thanks

I have the 28 1.8. I bought it as a fill in until I save up for the 24L, but for now it's doing quite well. I'd say the worst thing about it is the chromatic aberration/fringing you get when you shoot wide open in extreme backlight situations. Other than that it's pretty solid, looks and feels similar to the 50 1.4. I'd say go for it.

I was actually about to press the buy button at BH for the 28mm so thanks for asking! Now I feel so much more confident in my purchase. I have been DYING for a wide angle and I love my primes but Im about to get a 70-200 f/2.8 so there is no way I could do an L prime right now.
Thanks for all of you input everyone! I am so excited to play with it!

The 35 f/2 is a good lens. It's plasticity and doesn't focus terribly fast, but the image quality from it is pretty darn good.
Enjoy the water housing!

I love my 28/1.8. It's sharp and fast to focus. I've found it to pretty versatile for portraits and food shots.
