I see Amazon has the 5D listed at $1,799 new, and we are looking to pickup 2 bodies. BH has them back to $1,999. I guess I was wondering if anyone has had experience buying bodies from Amazon, and if there is any catch to this price...TIA!
AZJamie
I've bought a couple, and had no problems.

i just bought a 1Ds Mark III from Amazon. they have great prices because they shop around from a bunch of different stores and if there is a problem, amazon takes care of it.

Awesome. I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but we've never purchased more expensive equipment through them, so just wanted to be sure! Can't wait to get our new 5Ds tomorrow (kudos for next day shipping, there's no way I can wait any longer)!
AZJamie
They also have a 30 day return policy if you have any trouble! wink.gif

Amazon is awesome! I've never had a problem with them.

I buy most of my major bodies with them and I've had to return one and it was a breeze. No questions asked.

Thanks guys for all the input! We will definitely consult Amazon before any future equipment purchases...

I'm dangerous on Amazon...one-click shopping. smile.gif

+1 on the Amazon Prime

And I've always had my business visa through them. You can earn up to 3 pts per dollar on qualifying purchases. For every 2500 points, you earn a $25 reward certificate.

So if you're purchasing 2 5D's for $1799 per...that's $100 in certificates coming back to you.
MeeksDigital
Just make sure you're buying the 5D directly from amazon or a reputable/authorized canon dealer through amazon. You should be fine.

We have an Amazon credit card as well.. Actually I bought my 40D off Amazon using some as well.. I love it.

I have bought just about everything from them. Amazon Prime is super sweet and you can share it with other people. I just ordered a 40D and a 70-200 lens, but found the price on both less than what I paid a few days later. They refunded the difference! Their customer service is the best around.

I love amazon! They have great customer service if you have any problems. And they usually have the best price.

I just got my Canon 5D from them three days ago for the 1,799. Couldn't be happier

A really cool thing about Amazon (which based on that link above, Becker seems to know already) is that if you use your own affiliate code, you get about 6% back... so your $1,800 5d is really right around $1,690 new smile.gif
