I have some prints, half are matted and on backing board and half are just printed on stiff competition board, and I want to hang them in my home office. I was thinking of avoiding framing them, but wanted a cool way to hang them or display them on the wall... Any ideas?

Those are really cool.

I'd like to know too... I have a ton of mounted 16X20's that I really need to hang. I was hoping to switch them out easily.

I love this concept.

I love that, Karen!

**I also use the velcro strips... they are like double-sided tape, but the velcro is what holds the prints to the wall.... it's how I show my mounted prints in my studio.smile.gif

what about a long thin ledge (or several) thus leaning them rather than mounting them?

I saw an exhibit once where the artist had just used binder clips like these to hang images. Sounds hokey, but it looked really neat and crisp. Granted, she had all of her images mounted on the same size board....but it looked good and was cheap. Just an idea.

It won't be long before magnetic MDF board is available for walls... I can't tell you how cool that would be for positioning photos!

I have strips of horizontal black metal on the wall above my desk. I got them at Home Depot for less than a buck per strip in the "wayyyy industrial" section (that's the official name) where they have big long ground stakes and crazy stuff only 300-pound sweaty men usually buy. They're black and neat lookin, they had holes in them so I could put a screw thru them and into the wall, and magnets stick to them like superglue.
Then I got black some clips with magnets in them; I think I got those at Target or Bed Bath & Beyond. I have a bunch of mounted 16x20s & award ribbons up there now (my WPPI print entries), but I switch them out to other stuff every now & then. It's fun to rearrange the clips & the prints, and it's so easy.
The clips can make dents in the prints, I guess, but I don't really care all that much. It's a changing all the time.. doesn't matter if they get a dent/ding in a corner from a clip.

We got some curtain rail from IKEA and mounted it on the wall - we have little pegs where we peg the photos onto the rail (6x4's) and we mix it up everynow and then. Its in our kitchen and is just our personal displayer smile.gif

Very cool that you can change it around!
