Hi there. I'm hoping someone can give me some insight on what might be happening here...

On saturday's wedding reception, out of the corner of my eye I "thought" I saw my flash glow! I blew it off cause thats just odd. By the end of the night it had happened like four times. I did notice that sometimes when it was firing, I felt like it was "popping".

Has this happened to anyone? Do you think its going out??

I haven't noticed mine glowing, but the batteries sure do get extremely when I'm shooting at a reception. I have the old 580 too, it does the same thing. I just figured that was typical... not sure about the glowing though. blink.gif

Not sure. Unless you confidentiality presses the ev lock (star) button. If the flash is active that will fire a burst.

you are pressing your depth of field preview button. Its located under the lens release button in a spot where most people put their hands normally. I press mine occassionally by accident and often on purpose to get ppls attention. smile.gif
